There are million ideas in my head. Ideas that need time I don’t have. Ideas, which for the most part will remain ideas.
I am making a steady progress, however, with scanning my autobiographical work that I want to publish as a book. My aim is scan at least a one negative a day, and I’ve already managed to make it into a routine (I usually do it around 9pm after work).
This picture is of Szczepan at the Lipno Lake beach in Stęszew in 2004. I’ve met him during my last travel to Poland (August this year) and it was interesting for two reasons. The first I was amazed to hear the voice of my friend whose face looked so much older to what I’ve used to see when I’ve heard that voice previously. The second, we spoke like I never left, although I had to catch up with all the stuff that happened since my last visit.
Can you relate to that feeling of familiar otherness?
To be honest, I’ve almost didn’t recognize him… if you wouldn’t describe background of that photo, it wouldn’t be easy to recognize that place as well… times fly, and things change, deeply and continuously…
